We believe in the power of second chances. Our mission is to support former prisoners in their journey to reintegrate into society by providing access to meaningful employment opportunities, skill development, and personalized support.
Rehabilitation and reintegration are the cornerstones of our approach. We understand the challenges individuals face when starting over, and we aim to make that process as seamless as possible. By partnering with compassionate employers and offering tools like resume builders and job search assistance, we empower individuals to rebuild their lives and contribute positively to their communities.
Our platform is a bridge between potential and opportunity. With a simple, user-friendly interface, users can search for jobs tailored to their skills and interests, connect with employers, and access resources to help them navigate the professional world.
At Bridge, we are not just creating employment solutions; we are fostering hope and paving the way for brighter futures. Together, we can transform lives, reduce recidivism, and create a society where everyone has the chance to thrive.
Our primary research, corroborated by official statistics, confirms that over 75% of prisoners in India are undertrials—individuals incarcerated over accusations but still awaiting trial, not even yet proven guilty. Many of them spend years in prison due to delayed legal proceedings, only to face intense stigma upon their release. This stigma makes it nearly impossible for them to find jobs, leaving them vulnerable to poverty and, often, forcing them into crime.
Globally, the situation is dire. In the United States, for example, 60% of ex-prisoners remain unemployed a year after their release. In India, the neglect of this population is even more pronounced, with no official data or systems to track or support prisoners after their release. While a few prisons offer vocational training, there is no re-entry program in the country to help former inmates reintegrate into society. This creates a cycle where individuals are trapped by unemployment, exclusion, and, eventually, reoffending.
At Bridge Info Solution, we follow a three-pronged approach to prisoner rehabilitation and reintegration:
We actively work with businesses, service sectors, and manufacturing, small and large, to change perceptions about hiring former inmates. By addressing concerns, offering transparency, and showcasing candidates’ potential, we convince employers to give these individuals a second chance.
Through our sister programs:
Ultimately, we work to be the bridge between employers and former prisoners, stigma and acceptance, and potential and opportunity. We aim to be the bridge to a safer, better, more inclusive tomorrow myrow.
